In the 1980s and 90s Mr. Diamond’s Painting skills were equaly in demand in Beverly Hills and Bellaire California homes as well as creating original work for international design firms and clients including GUESS Jeans and Huera Fabrics.
Mr. Diamond Left California for New York in 1999 however while visiting family he was offered an opportunity to Direct theatre in Ohio, That led to other offers including, writing, directing teaching and painting for several years.
“I fell in love in New York City and with the city when I came here 1986. I have come full circle now returning to my first love, painting.
Since moving to New York in 2008 he has focused on Painting. “My CITY ABSTRACTS series can be looked at with this in mind, color is relative to emotion, passion, hot or cold. Line and form equal tempo, energy, attitude and amplitude. These fundamentals find their way into my other work often in more subtle ways. You may also want to look for all those hidden images I’m known to paint”.
“I started Working in acrylic for speed when my New York paintings started selling faster than the oil was drying. I enjoy working with acrylics I have no desire to go back”. Jack has worked in all mediums, mainly oil for more than forty years professionally.
