Artist Statement:
We say that words have consequences. Many of us believe that there is an underlying meaning to that phrase. That there is energy in everything; that positive and negative statements are capable of giving away a positive or negative energy especially when they are addressed to something in particular. Some believe that thoughts have the same affect.
I believe all the above and I know that images are much more powerful than statements that we both think and say out loud. I empower myself with my art and when I do paintings for other people I try to empower them with the positive energy that I myself create and feel as well. I don’t pretend to have any special powers. I hardly pay attention to most esoteric mumbo jumbo, except for the things that actually make sense to me. I search for my own path.
I know that there is a higher power that helps us, but only reveals itself to us when we are ready to believe in it. This power (or God as many of us call it) is the one who gave me my talent and I do my best to get a good use out...

| Your Personal Biography |
Born July 22, 1978 in Poltava, (Ukraine), Natasha began painting as a toddler. At the age of four, she became one of the youngest students ever to attend the Fine Arts Studio of the University of Engineering and Architecture in Kyiv. Natasha started exhibiting her book illustrations at an early age and was planning on becoming a professional artist for as long as she can remember.
Natasha immigrated to the United States at sixteen. As an artist Ms. Sazonova creates art works for private collections as well as commercial enterprises. She enjoys painting creative, non-traditional portraiture in a variety of styles ranging from whimsical illustration to collage art and surrealism. As an illustrator, Natasha specializes in editorial and book illustration. Since she believes that in order to be a good illustrator an artist needs to be a well-rounded person; Natasha spends a lot of time on self-education. She speaks four languages and keeps up with world literature, philosophy and politics. In her free time Ms. Sazonova enjoys cooking, gardening and playing with her dog, cat and four chinchillas. |
