| Why Did You Become An Artist |
Drawing is among my earliest memories and have endured much grief for being "gone" and doodling rather than listening to a teacher, or drawing on something I shouldn't. |

| Your Personal Biography |
I tried to do what my parents thought I ought to do, because "...you can't make a living drawing..." For most of my life I had a 9 to 5 and trying to be the best I could be while my free time was spent drawing from an anatomy book borrowed from the library. I was a grown man staring at the last two thirds of my life before I went back to school for my degree.
Even before I went back to school I had enough practice to begin doing portraits of friends and family and before I knew it people were commissioning me to draw their portraits for real cash! It only made sense to me to get some formal training and give this a shot. I've been drawing and painting portraits for the last 20 years and love it more each day. |
