In my opinion, art should be beautiful, incite your feelings, move your soul and motivate your mind. That’s what I try to achieve with my work.
I want my abstract photographs to be judged as images —the feelings they stir, their composition, the colours—, ...

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
That's like asking why my hair's reddish or my eyes are brown. It's part of who I am and the best way I have to interpret and show the world I see. |

| Your Personal Biography |
I was born in Mexico City, during the incredible 60s, but I never say when exactly. My parents weren’t hippies but anthropologist, which is almost the same thing. I fell in love with photography —a bit after Beethoven and The Beatles—, when I won a bet and a camera from my dad.
Most of my photography education was self-tought: I spent all my allowances in film, developing, printing and books, writing everything I did to compare it against the pictures I got in order to control the camera and the results.
After a couple of years in London, I came back to study graphic design and then a masters in photography.
I won the Heritage ’84 prize from Great Britain and I’ve had individual exhibits in México, Edinburgh and Moscow, as well as a participation in a collective exhibition during Fotoseptiembre 96 (Photoseptember ’96), also in México. And since I don’t want to use my time courting galleries, I decided to make my own on the web.
By the way, photography, along with Beethoven and The Beatles, is still my biggest love.
