INTRODUCTION:
I developed a passion for sketching and painting at the early age of 15, watching and learning the intricacies of Art from my father, late Shri Ramkumar Sharma, a renowned painter. This passion turned into a profession and I started assisting my father at his Designing studio. Designs of Posters and Show-cards, photo-sets and Banners, Layouts and Finals, in color and black and white, of all sizes and range, papers and Canvases.
Very soon I was an independent Art-Visualiser at Heroes publicity at Mumbai, an independent Art-Director for films, as well as a publicity designer for prominent and upcoming film producers from the film fraternity. I also ventured in the world of films and Television, as a Writer, Producer, and a Director. Painting was the backbone of my entire career, be it in story boards or publicity designs or production design layouts.
I have also created Oil and water color Paintings on canvas and Paper, on various subjects of Fine Art, for private clients in India and abroad. And again after some gap I am re-entering the Art scene of Paintings, maybe this time with a richer experience and sharper expertise.
MY EXPERIENCES AND GROWTH:
1) 1978 – JOINED AS AN APPRENTICE AND ASSISTANT DIRECTOR WITH RAVIKANT NAGAICH. WORKED ON FILMS, KALA SONA, DAKU AUR MAHATMA, RANI AUR LALPARI (also a Visualiser for Rani aur Lalpari)
2) ASSISTANT DIRECTOR WITH KHALID AKHTAR FOR HIS FILM, LADIES TAILOR.
3) WORKED AS AN PUBLICITY DESIGNER FOR RAMANAND SAGAR, B.R. CHOPRA, J. OMPRAKASH, RAJKUMAR KOHLI, PRAKASH MEHRA, BALDEV PUSHKARNA, YASH CHOPRA, SANJAY KHAN, AKBAR KHAN and many more
.
4) 1981-82 WORKED AS AN STORY SCREENPLAY-DIALOGUE WRITER FOR GULSHAN RAI’S MULTI-STARRER “TEESRI-ANKH”
5) 1989 – WRITER, PRODUCER OF A MULTI-STARRER FILM “TALASHI” STARRING, JACKIE SHROFF, JUHI CHAWLA, PARESH RAWAL, MUKESH KHANNA, OMPURI, BHARAT KAPOOR and others.
6) 1991-92 AS AN EPISODIC-DIRECTOR FOR SANJAY KHAN’S T.V. SERIAL “THE SWORD OF TIPU SULTAN” FOR SOME EPISODES

7) 1993-97 WORKED AS A WRITER- DIRECTOR FOR A EPIC TELEVISION SERIES, THE WARRIORS OF INDIA, TO BE JOINTLY PRODUCED BY JACKIE SHROFF, IN-HOUSE PROD. AND SONY TV CHANNEL. BEING A HISTORICAL SERIAL OF DIFFERENT STORIES, THE RESEARCH AND WRITING OF THE FINAL DRAFTS OF MORE THAN 52 STORIES, ITSELF TOOK MORE THAN FOUR YEARS OF TIME. (The project is now being worked on a Tele -film format in collaboration with international companies and is being planned to be made in Hindi and English)
8) 1999-2000 WORKED AS A PRODUCTION DESIGNER AND VISUALISER FOR BHEESMA INTERNATIONAL SPACE- AGE FUTURISTIC DRAMA ARYAMAAN, PRODUCED BY MUKESH KHANNA FOR DD1.
9) 2002-2003 WORKED ON DIFFERENT SCRIPTS FOR FEATURE FILMS, LIKE DHOLA-MARU, KEHTA HAIN JOKER, SARPARAST.
2004-2005 WORKED AS A PRODUCTION DESIGNER AND VISUALISER AND ONE OF THE SCRIPT WRITERS WITH RAJKUMAR SANTOSHI’S FEATURE FILMS SRI YOGESHWAR KRISHNA AND PRITHVIRAJ-SANYUKTA , A WRITER-DIRECTOR FOR “DHOLA-MARU” A HISTORICAL LEGENDARY LOVE STORY OF RAJASTHAN,
