Artist’s statement.
“When people ask me what I paint, I always hesitate before I answer, thinking: do I have enough time to tell them, will they understand? I paint things that move me, things that shock me, things that make me smile, things I see hear, think, smells can inspire me to paint, often attitudes of people make me want to create an artwork. Sometimes I paint for the pure joy of creating something out of nothing. I cannot box myself into a category, theme, style or even medium, for what inspired me today, if witnessed yesterday, might have gone unnoticed. I don’t know what I will paint tomorrow. What I do know, is that if I can move a person to pause,think, smile, ponder, cry, laugh or want to own one of my paintings, then I have served my purpose in life.”
