Welcome to Oliver Roura's Portfolio.
The work i do is a personal reflection. It is an investigation into my own person through my people, by way of dialogue, "you talk and I hear you," "I act and you react."
The main element of the party that my work is the color. In every person lies a color, a color with many nuances. Not only because we compose our pure color, our soul, but we also are made of the colors of the people around us, our influences.
We are in an era where the digital world, internet, as frivolous and ephemeral information has much weight in society and we are putting aside human relations. The emotions that cause us have almost no value. My painting comes to these relations, stop, listen and observe everything that is caused by each of those traveling with me in life.
All these works are alive. They are born and grow as organisms,
they each have their own life, a noticeably singular one,
and they exist in a delicate balance between indetermination
and what is inevitable, between chance and need. Chance,
as an element in the process of creation, makes every work
