Artist Statement:
Native of Poland.
Master of Arts of Interior Architechture from Fine Arts Academy in Poznan, Poland. Graduated with honors in 1972.
From 1972 to 1982 Master designer in the country's leading Institute of Interior Design in Warsaw. Responsible for research and development projects in the field of habitat. First prize awarded for excellence in project design of the habitation for physically handicapped persons.
As an independent interior architect, she designed and supervised numerous projects of residences, offices, commercial and industrial premises, most noteworthy being two large religious complexes in Warsaw (1979 - 1983). The projects included furniture design, stained glasses windows design, murals, sculptures, etc.
In parallel, her other forms of creation were : paintings, ceramics, jewelry and graphic design, with several exhibitions.
While living in Mediterranean North Africa (Les Andalouses, Oran) from 1983 to 1987 she practiced the interior design but most importantly she fulfilled the need for artistic expression trough painting (pastels, water-colour, gouache).
Came to Canada in 1987.
1989 : Graphic designer in the National Capital Commission in Ottawa, involved in the design of graphical elements for development projects.
