Artist Statement for Andrew Chisholm

Many of my paintings are drawn from personal images and have had the more gerneral cultural interpretation and reference points super-imposed upon them. As with a tarot card, the interpretation of the subject draws upon personal experience shaped by a study of art history, sybolism, and contemporary culture.
