Artist Statement:
Professional Full Time Artist
Born in 1974, Michael has been
drawing and painting since he
was a young child. In 1998,
Michael completed a Bachelor
Of Visual Arts at the Pasadena
Art Center College of Design.
Michael paints in the
classical tradition using
underpainting, glazes and
scumbles to add glow and depth
to his paintings. This
technique results in deep
shadow and glowing light.
Michael uses plein air color
studies, memory and
imagination to create finished
studio work.
The works of Michael Bevia are
highly collectible. His art is
sold in galleries, shows and
Expos throughout California
and Europe.
