Artist Statement:
My name is Gena Leavitt, and I live in Mid-Michigan.I am a polymer clay sculptor, and have sculpted lifesize North American birds, reptiles,& wildlife.I have sculpted senior citizens, a friends niece, and my absolute favorite...Santa Claus.I just finished a 14" high Santa climbing into a chimney. The excitement of finishing a Santa,to me is almost undescribeable!
All of my creations are one of a kind, hand sculpted and painted. The wildlife and birds are both mounted on actual tree bark or rocks.I also use recycled materials when possible.
I provide quality, unique sculptures of all sorts.I work on a commissioned basis, meaning I fill orders as they come in.So far, no dissatisfied customers;) !!Some have as many as 5-10 pieces of my work!
