Artist Statement:
My work shows fragmented
realities and interrupted
sequences, a strong
confrontation happens between
color images and black and
white fragments, this causes
the paint to go beyond its own
limits.
It tends to break the
stylistic coherence of a
traditional stilife, nude or
landscape, but also enables me
to connect two separate and
dissimilar worlds, getting to
be the perfect complement for
eachother....

Daniel Blanco was born in Bogota, Colombia in 1.981, He studied Fine Arts in Bogota and then he traveled to the United States where he has lived since 2.003.
since the beggining of his career, he's been strongly influenced by drawing and sculpture and that has marked and defined his style and pictorial compositions. |
