Artist Statement:
I have forever loved the feel of clay in my hands. I can’t hold it still! As my hands move over the clay, the form just appears and takes on its own shape. The clay somehow becomes a work of art, a piece of beauty. The creation process starts with a ball of clay and then develops uncontrollably. The process can be a breath taking experience, a transformation that is like a small miracle of beauty as an image of the human form just appears from the humble clay.
Artwork of nudes has the ability to evoke emotions and even disturb our social boundaries in life. The most important aspect I wish the viewer to capture and experience from my work is the “true human form” as created by God, it is full of eternal beauty, flawless and should not be ashamed. So many woman and men alike are subconscious about their bodies shape or size and fail to realize they are perfect and beautiful; there should be no reason for regret or embarrassment of this God given form.
