Artist Statement:
Rob Henderson has been interested in aviation from a very early age and has drawn and painted since he can remember. These in turn developed into the basis of the aircraft caricatures he does today.
In December 2001 after a string of unsatisfactory jobs and a steadily increasing demand for his work, Rob quit his then current full time job and started his own aviation artwork company called ‘Caricature Aircraft Pictures’. In 2005, the business is still growing with original paintings and prints being produced for clients around the globe. While offering a selection of caricature prints of various aircraft types, the heart of the business is ability of offer a personalised caricature artwork service. My old boss who told me back in 2001 "It's only a phase so enjoy it while you can. You'll be back here within 6 months.";
Dugald Cameron (Squadron Prints);
Robert Taylor;

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
I have had two loves in my life - drawing and aviation.
I wanted to fly for the military as a career, and when that was obviously not going to be a reality, I returned to my artwork as I was so unhappy working for other people under their rules.
Specializing in aeronautical caricatures allows me to combine my two passions plus merge aspects of art and to some extent animation style graphics into something that I love doing. |
