| Your Personal Biography |
EILEEN CASEY was born and raised in Lowell, Massachusetts. After receiving her B.S. in Business Education from the University of Massachusetts-Salem, MA, she moved to New York City where she worked and lived for over 25 years. Upon completing her M.S. in Education/Reading at LIU-Southampton College, she relocated to the East End permanently and currently lives in Sag Harbor.
Casey’s cigar boxes, assemblages and collages stimulate fond memories, and sometimes invoke an excitement and anticipation of future events as well. Using found objects and rediscovered treasured items such as marbles, toy soldiers, rocks, coins, stamps, and scraps of material she creates miniature scenes, paradoxes, and small worlds. She has exhibited in numerous solo and groups shows and welcomes commissioned pieces.
Casey spent many years working in the television, music and entertainment industries as both an Associate Producer and General Production Manager for the popular “ABC In Concert” series. She also worked on network and cable television specials, including “Wingspan” with Paul McCartney, “The Beatles Anthology”, ABC mini-series, “A Year in Pop” with U2, “Longing in Their Hearts” with Bonnie Raitt, and “What’s Love” with Tina Turner, among numerous other television music events for both national and international broadcasters.
Casey is a certified teacher in Reading, Business, Social Studies and Distributive Education, and worked in the East End school districts.
Casey is currently the Arts Editor for Hamptons.com based in Southampton. |
