Born in Washington State, USA, also lived in Mexico and Japan in the 1970s. Educated at Stanford and UCLA (Romance Languages & Linguistics). Occupations have included dancer, dock worker (unloading freight trucks), photographer, teacher. Married to composer John Mitchell and lives in Los Angeles. Fractal art on Mitchell’s website, posters and prints sold by Zazzle.com, Art.com and ArtprintCollection.com.
"With fractals as with photos, I choose what to look at, manipulate the light, colors and textures--but am essentially a witness. Not trying to create objects that 'look like something' but exploring fractal geometry and its relationship to nature."
