Then, compel you to own the work and put it where you’ll re-experience the zap. Finally, I want my paintings to be the cause of some happiness for as many people as possible.
WHAT ABOUT THE PAINTING?
Starting with the wish to benefit, my experiences, feelings, memories, dreams and meditations fuel my painting. Expressionistic in style, the images are both figurative and abstract. When I begin a painting, I rarely have a fixed goal in mind. In fact, through painting I intend to lose my controlling mind. What I always find is that the results are more dynamic when the process is spontaneous. The water-based acrylic and tempera media I prefer are vivid and sensual.
