Artist Statement:
I look at my art as "Living
Art", that has life and
movement of its own. My
paintings show the fascination
that I have with movement,
depth, and color. I feel to
categorize my art would be
difficult because my work
seems to flow into abstract,
modern contemporary, organic
and 3- dimensional fields.

I work my first ideas out with
colored pencils and pen on
paper, so that I feel less
restricted to build on a
concept before commiting to
the final idea.

The mediums I mostly work in
are oil, wood, canvas and
dyes. The frames and the
3-dimensional parts to the
pieces are primarily
handcarved with traditional
woodcarving tools and lots of
sandpaper....
