The artwork of Dawn Morishige
is an innovative take on a
background of photography. The
work is printed onto film and
subsequently etched and filled
with pigment. Some are created
into a Screen format. Some are
3 dimensional wall hangings.
Some are blended with
perforated metal. They are a
mixed media extravaganza! They
are at once Realistic and
Surreal landscapes. The work
brings out the liquidity of
the darkroom and the creates
wonderful movement in the

The highest form of happiness is losing yourself in something. Time disappears and there is no emotion. I can create this making art. This is what has kept me sane and able to feel apart of something. The "no mind" of creating is a necessary thing for me. |
