Artist Statement for Paul Cairns
|
|
|
Most of the time my work is rooted in an exploration of structure, by nature and the landscapes of Northern Ireland where I grew up or London where I now live.
The handling of the materials is very physical with the stretchers frequently becoming more sculptural or sculptures becoming painterly.

Originally from N. Ireland, Paul obtained both his B.A. and Masters in London. He has 6 works in 3 public collections and exhibits regularly in the UK and internationally.
