Artist Statement:
My paintings develop from emotion and feeling. They start as outlines or colour’s and grow organically.
Over the years I have become very interested in the mind and body and how they affect each other, in healing and the source of illness. In ideas such as how we create our environment. Looking at my shadow side, my life, how it has shaped me, the person I am, how I hamper myself, my strengths, my weaknesses, the areas I’m interested in, the understanding, the compassion I have …
This was the inspiration for my last exhibition - “Present”. It was, as most painting, self-healing. However, this was much more conscious and intentional. As I learnt more about how our emotions manifested illness in the body, and how we create many situations, often ones we don’t want, I painted. The work developed around this learning. The aim was to create a body of work that communicated these truths to others. Learning through books, art is another from of passing on knowledge, often knowledge we already have, deep within ourselves.

| Your Personal Biography |
I live and work in Co. Clare, Ireland. Born in 1976, I completed my studies one year fine art in Limerick
and three year visual comunications in Athlone IT in 1998.
I set up under the name of Origin Design selling limited edition prints of her artwork on metal plates. In 2001 I ceased trading as Origin Design and started selling the originals of my newer work. Exhibitng some work at the Kenny Gallery, Galway. I also began running some community art workshops with special groups as part of the 'embrace' scheme set up by Clare County arts office. My work has been purchased by private and public collectors.
Exhibitions include Christmas Group Show, Ennis In In a Different Way - group exh in venues around . Ennis, for Ennis Street Festival. July 1st to 15th 2008.
