Artist Statement:
Carlos Pereira da Silva began painting about 1986 but the first works were presented for the first time in public exhibitionas, in 1991. Since then he continuously participate in group and individual art exhibitions. We can count 46 by now. Most of his works belong to private collections in Portugal, Suiss, Denmark, Belgium, France.
C. Pereira da Silva was invited by the Mayor of the city of Setubal to participate on the construction and painting of a giant mural to commemorate the 200Th year of the death of the great portuguese poet, Bocage. This work was exhibited in 2005.
He also contributed, in 2007, with several illustrations to the hand writting version of the most important book ever written in portuguese language "Os Lusiadas" by Luis de Camoes, to the museum of the presidence of the Portuguese Republic....

From 1988 to 1998 - 10 years experiencing watercolours.
From1998 to 2011: oil an acrylic art exibitions.
Pereira da Silva, began attending art courses continuosly since 1999.
He participated in 50 individual and group exhibitions in Portugal and Spain.
His works have been very well accepted by the public, so that almost all of the 200 works he produced by now, were sold and belong to private and institucional colections in Portugal, Spain, Swiss., Norway, Belgium, France.
