Why Did You Become An Artist One bright Iowa spring day a boy walking home from school begins to "see" for the first time. He stops, pulls a pencil and a writing pad from his bag, doodles quickly and a cow magically appears in a corner of the paper.

A bit embarrassed, the boy quickly crumples the paper and stuffs it in his pants pocket, but the picture he has drawn will not leave his thoughts. The power in what he has done causes him to squeeze the paper and pull it from his pocket many times before he gets home.

Tomorrow the boy will draw the cow again and then a horse, and then he will wander off into the woods to track and magically reproduce what ever catches his eye there.

Years later the magic is still with him, now transferred to brushes creating wonderful canvass worlds of wild oil and acrylic animals. His divine gift causes others to "see" as well.

I started drawing at the age of 7. My first wildlife painting was at the age of 10.

I lived on a farm in Iowa so I had wildlife all around me and I was amazed at what I saw, could sketch, and later paint. I still am.

I believe that talent of any kind is God given and am continually amazed that He has shares his gifts with human artists .
