| Your Personal Biography |
I am Ching Teoh, a self-taught painter. My studio is located in Georgetown, Malaysia, one of the World's Heritage Sites. I enjoy the neighborhood here. In this historical town, we are living in a multi-cultural atmosphere, Chinese, Malay and Indian living together many many decades. Cultural from different races has influenced our arts and living.
All my paintings are original hand-crafted by myself. Most of the designs are inspired by natural and vintage Asian patterns such as Indian's, Malay's and Buddhism's. I like to create bold textured patterns on canvas block, multi layers of colors with intricate patterns to create different depth and beauty.
Here in Penang, I have been commissioned to paint for Hotels and interior designers.
