Artist Statement:
Places of peace, beauty, and
wonder do exist, but are often
beyond the casual vision and
awareness. It is the task of
the visual artist to make
these places more visible,
more accessible; and to give
us a moment of wonder.

The experience of painting is
proof that we have many life
times. It is a 'coming home'
to something learned and loved
long ago. This understanding
is definite, -intuitive.

This work invokes simplicity
in design, and sparse yet
purposeful composition, clean
lines, flowing movement, and
nuanced color; a quiet energy,
a peacefulness that unfolds
upon itself.

Come, experience:
The Sacred Places series
which explores beyond our
everyday world to places or
states of mind where we can
dare to leave the mundane
behind. In these paintings you
will find the surreal in
everyday places.

Encinitas Retreat is a series
of paintings exploring some
secluded places that exist in
the material world as well as
in the seclusion existing
within each of us.

The Meditations series
consists of landscapes and
still lifes that invoke the
notion meditation.

The effort invested in this
work is self-gratifying; I
only hope to share some of
that reward with others.
