Artist Statement:
My primary focus is the visual kinetics of sculpture.
Open air always provides a blank canvas for movement of shape and color. Architectural lines and the motion of nature are primary inspiration for my work. My designs come from three basic mindsets: mechanical, organic, or a combination of the two. ...

Reviews for Christopher Gulick:
|
|
|
By Julia Ruecker, Interior Architect, Stuttgart, Germany
Space!
Space subconsciously is often mistaken as void or emptiness.
My main interest as Interior Architect it is to unveil the true nature of this Nothing, to experience space, to make it noticeable.
Christopher Gulick’s art explores, occupies, emphasises and stimulates space.
By following lines, shapes and bodies of Gulicks’ sculptures with one’s eye, void is transformed to space, gets dimension, a human proportion.
By Gloria Kennedy, Curator,
Gloria Kennedy Gallery, Brooklyn, New York
Chris Gulick creates kinetic mobile sculpture composed of found and known objects. His work is delicately balanced on thin lines of metal that shimmer and revolve on asymmetric axes. His sculpture maintains a perfect balance of brilliance, precision and form. Chris’s innovative and buoyant geometric sculptures are delicately and precisely balanced to glisten and gyrate with the slightest breeze. His work exhibits an exciting fresh approach to kinetic sculpture.

Chris's work is astounding in the amount of time and thought that goes into each piece.
Not only is each piece beautiful, but each piece is a
true engineering marvel.
The balance and precision that goes into
each one is amazing.
