Artist Statement:
Painting is more an expression
of the inner place inspired
from the open spaces in the
natural world. I have to
admit, besides the colors, I
have a love for the fluidity
of the paint and creating the
globs of underlying texture.
The texture that is formed by
dripping paint onto the canvas
is a lot of fun, and it lends
itself nicely to the subject
matter. The speed at which I
apply the paint can be seen in
what looks like meteorites
flying across the sky. Like a
composer waving his wand, I
get to dance with the paint
when applying it. ...

| Your Personal Biography |
Jaison Cianelli (b. 1980) is a self-taught American artist born near Boston, MA. His paintings are inspired by the visual cues in nature and expressed with spirit and spontaneity from emotions within. Cianelli specializes in abstract art and abstract landscape paintings using acrylic paint, mixed media, as well as a digital medium. When creating an acrylic painting he paints with the canvas laying flat on a table so he can pour and drip paint onto the surface. He is intrigued by its natural flow, physical qualities and texture. Cianelli's abstract landscape paintings have been observed as an uplifting display of energy with unique paint texture that is both refreshing and unconstrained, some calling it a form of controlled paint splatter. His work has been collected internationally and shown in New Hampshire, Fort Lauderdale, Newport, and Hot Springs.
