| Your Personal Biography |
I was born in Montreal, Quebec,Cananda.
When I was 5 years old my family moved to the North Country in the state of New York. Since pre-school my mother showed me how to draw. I am married to a retired Air Force SMSGT Tom Reid ,Jr. for 53 years. We have 3 middle aged children.Tom III,Theresa Anne, and David Martin.
I became interested in oil painting in the 70's and won several prizes. When I returned to college in the 80's I fell in love with watercolors and have been with watercolors ever since.
I now share my knowledge of this medium by giving classes/workshops.
I am a Secular Franciscan, which is an order for Lay Peoople in the Catholic Church. My spirituality is influenced by the spirituality of St. Francis. He was open to nature and saw God's beauty in it. I interpret this in my watercolors, hoping that anyone who sees my work will have a sense of peace and even healing of the heart and spirit. |
