The process of making ...

| Your Personal Biography |
Phil Taylor grew up in the fertile Mississippi river valley along the legendary highway 61 corridor in southern Minnesota as well as summering along the east cost mid Atlantic region. He has a B.A. in Studio Art. Informally he has intensely researched many abstract artists and their methods through volumes of portfolio studies and several hajj’s to the nation’s most celebrated art museums and institutions. Taylor first became interested in art after being confronted with a Jackson Pollock work during a pivotal visit to the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. “ By observing these past master’s techniques, efforts and evolution one can extrapolate a differentiated framework and approach in a new direction. “ Phil also believes in observing what fellow artists are producing. He is a serious artist who utilizes simple and complex methods to attack the canvas. Bringing a energetic and managed approach to his body of work that insures each piece is individual, lively and creative. His art resides in many private collections in the Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York areas.
