She was exposed to art at an early age with the influences of her Uncle Salvatore Marino, and aunt- recognised Italian painter Angela Leonardi. Walter Leonardi famed photographer also had his influences on her with his eccentric travels and exotic celebrity photographs published internationally.

She received a DEC in Fine Arts at Dawson College established for it's Art programs in 1995. There she studied under many established artists such as Myles Tyrell, Murray McDonald, Michael Smith and Giuseppe Di Leo. She also received a Bachelor in Fine Arts with distinction at Concordia University ( largest Fine Arts Program in Canada ), in 1998. There she studied with Guido Molinari, François Sullivan, Susan G.
