Artist Statement:
Life calls to life. And so, I
choose to make work that,
instead of promoting tragedy,
seeks joy. It's important to
me to incorporate a sense of
gratitude and personal
authenticity in my work. It
has been said that the world
that exists for each of us
varies on an individual basis.
Because of this, I work to
find a common denominator in
the things that may pass us
by, things we simply forget to
see. I have found that much
of my work is very process
oriented. I seek to find
connection with the world
around me through these
pieces, which have become
personal narratives used to
remember and meditate.
My intention is to produce a
shared experience for the
viewers; therefore, each piece
is interactive in some way.
Each chance we have to connect
through a shared experience is
an enormous gift. Which is
why I make an effort not to
state what I would like the
viewers to thing about the
work. It's about honoring a
multitude of perspectives
while still finding some
connectedness with each of
them....
