Artist Statement:
Being an artist from day one,
my quest began with crayons
and paper. Oil paints and
canvas replaced the crayons by
the age of twelve, but the
major tools have always been
my mind and imagination. My
work is often inspired by
images I have brought back
from dreams, or by a fragment
of a song, cloud-shapes in the
sky, shadows on a wall, or
patterns on the tiles of my
bathroom floor. I believe that
the universe holds the truth,
and all one needs to do as an
artist is transfer the
messages of the greater
reality to paper or canvas.
Sur-reality is the inner
reality, which is the only
truth we know. This is why I
paint....
