The motive behind David’s work is to draw attention to the concept of an alternate reality and give the viewer a sense
of the possibilities that other dimensions exist. The feeling of being pulled into these alternative scapes is immediately evident with his abstract arrangements of energetic colors that create an illusion of depth and varying distances. Also seen in his pieces are representations of ancient rock pictographs that are an homage to the original abstract artists who painted from their visions.
David’s paintings are gaining recognition throughout Europe and the United States and have appeared in galleries in Germany, Switzerland, Denmark and Ireland. As a traveling
artist, much of his time is divided between Chicago, Europe and Thailand where he has a studio and finds much of his inspiration.
David Dillinger has been a master painter and faux finisher by trade for the last 30 years. Exploring paint professionally led him to artistic endeavors on canvas and other surfaces in 1997. A long time practitioner of meditation and the healing arts, he frequently finds solitude in nature and at sea. David has two beautiful children and three precious granddaughters.
A percentage of the sales of his work is given to humanitarian projects such as The Tibetan Children’s Village. We hope you enjoy what you see.
