| Your Personal Biography |
I have been a professional artist since 1992. My medias include, but are not limited to; metal sculpture, metal wall art, watercolors, photography, acrylic, jewelry and custom furniture. Pieces range from designer jewelry to a 60,000 pound steel sculpture. My commissioned art pieces are in homes, offices, restaurants, historic sites, colleges and universities, and, can be seen in over twenty art galleries in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Las Vegas, Hawaii, and Florida.
I'm often referred to as a 'Renaissance Man', or 'Twenty-First Century Blacksmith', and I take pride in creativity and state of the art fabrication equipment. I believe I am most known for my metal sculptures. Each original piece captures the moment and is a true, 'One of a kind'. My painting techniques are derived from a combined art and biology background...As cells replicate, layering on all axes naturally take place. I use this same approach when applying paint in defined layers to the art piece. Once satisfied with the colors, the piece is clear powder coated and placed in a commercial oven at 350 degrees for ten minutes. New vibrant colors and shading appear on the intriguing art piece.
My true passion over the years has been in the area of workforce development. I currently serve on county, state and national boards. My belief is, A skilled, well-trained workforce is essential for successful economic development and sound financial security for our nation. Our workforce is the foundation of our country. |
