Artist Statement:
My current work reflects natural surroundings and ranges from realistic to abstract collage using acrylics and mixed media. A native of the Pacific Northwest, I find continued inspiration in our trees and waterways. Colors, light and shadows are exciting and I strive to communicate that through my paintings. In the 70's I was trained in the traditional use of oils. In the late 80's during my busy life I turned to acrylics for their quick drying properties and less toxic compounds. In the 90's I studied basic design and delved into more color exploration and textural techniques. This was a big turning point for me in freeing up and I have returned to the use of palette knives to achieve surface texture and layered colors and to become more bold in my image creations. I invite you to visit my website and do email me with any inquiries you might have.
I have collectors in the US and, so far, in Australia. My Paypal account accepts international payments. Thank you for viewing my work....
