Artist Statement:
My passion is painting and collage. Layering texture and color in an intuitive manner, I attempt to weave a visual history. I enjoy working in a series as it allows me to communicate my concept in various ways. My goal is to provide a mysterious and intriguing surface, engaging the viewer.
My first love is painting in the abstract. I believe this stems from our inherent need for self-expression. Painting in color and shape allow for exploration of a wide range of designs and compositions.
I find words especially appealing and find much of my work inspired by books and poetry. Currently, I am exploring the subject of a Woman’s Worth based on Marianne Williamson’s book of the same name.
