Artist Statement:
It is my hope and desire,
through my art, to capture an
essence of time and space; to
mold the image and to convey
the spiritual connection that
I find with the subject and
the setting. It is this
connection, through respect,
trust and passion, that drives
me as well as all artists to
want to create... to
express... to become one with
the image that presents itself
before us and magically
appears in form on "our
canvas." It is the simplicity
of form and light that strips
away the natural barriers and
allows us all to feel free to
express ourselves, and to
search for the vulnerable
innocence that we find
ourselves so full of during
our early adolescence.
I try to see through the thin
veil of "personality" and
reveal something deeper.
Rather than imposing my own
interpretation of an
individual or using a person
merely as a screen upon which
to project my fantasies I try
to involve them and allow a
consensual, or rather a
mutual, scene or situation to
evolve....

Welcome to Aliaj Robert's Portfolio.
It is my hope and desire, through my art, to capture an essence of time and space; to mold the image and to convey the spiritual connection that I find with the subject and the setting.
