Artist Statement for Glenn Driscoll

Hello and welcome to my portfolio.
I have been painting for about 15 years and enjoy it immensely, there is nothing better than starting with a blank sheet of white crisp watercolour paper, adding some water, pigment and imagination and creating a picture!
I love it and hope to continue to paint for the rest of my life.
I am basically self taught but I paint with a passion. If I am moved by a subject, I must paint it whether it be human, animal, plant or imagination.
I try to instill passion into my paintings and get a great big buzz when somebody is so moved by one of my paintings that they buy it. It's a wonderful feeling that apart from me the painter enjoying creating the picture but another person, usually a stranger sees the picture and is moved enough to pay dollars for it!
As long as they are moved by what they see, one way or another, whether they buy it or not I am happy.
