| Why Did You Become An Artist |
When I was a kid I had a heart condition that prevented me from doing the normal athletic things kids do so my parents gave me art lessons instead. Thank god for heart conditions. Not a fan of athletics and I love art. |

| Your Personal Biography |
At the age of ten, unable to participate in athletics or ballet I was given art lessons. Shortly thereafter I was accepted
too study oil painting under Paul Chidlaw in Cincinnati, Ohio. I have been painting off and on ever since. I hold a BFA from Stephens College in Art History and Interior Design with a minor in painting, a Masters in Education with a specialty in Art Therapy. I have had the honor of studying Italian Renaissance Art and painting in Perugia, Italy
and then a semester later I attended the University of Copenhagen, Denmark for a semester to study design.
After college like so many artists my art was put aside for about twenty years to be a house wife, mother, teacher etc. When I began painting again I chose to take watercolor classes. I have been teaching art for the past 14 years and showing my own art in Houston at Gallery M2, Elder Street Gallery and the Watercolor Society of Houston. I am a member of WIVLA (Women in the Visual and Literary Arts) and Visual Arts Alliance of Houston. In 2009 I attended artist’s workshops in Greenville, New York.
