Artist Statement:
The sculpture I create uses a
variety of steel or iron
medium. Some projects are of
found materials while others
are hand fabricated. Often I
will combine the two. While
figurative work was my initial
inspiration due to the emotion
I could convey through facial
expression, I have come to
enjoy works in nature; trees
especially. The finish is the
result of a special process
that allows a natural patina
and enables the steel to hold
up to harsh environments.
