| Your Personal Biography |
Ralph Eastland attended the Vancouver School of Art in the mid 70s, where he majored in painting and printmaking. He also studied for some time with Sybil Andrews and Noburo Sawaii. Influenced by the work of Lauren Harris and Oriental art, especially Japanese woodcuts, Ralph woks in woodcuts, watercolours, and acrylics to create somewhat abstract and sometimes surrealistic images of landscape, animals and marine subjects.
