Painting is magical and mathematical, beautiful and arousing, provoking and revealing. It requires me to focus and to be aware, with an open and relaxed frame of mind. When I paint I am embraced and kicked by the unknown, it’s a fight and a celebration without illusionary boarders. It is a fascinating process that I enjoy documenting. Viewing my recent paintings, you can see a few snapshots of the progress by clicking on the image.
“People who know no history always learn wrong history, and can never
understand the passing moment as it changes into history.” - Gilbert Highet
I experience a constant flow of inspiration filling me with awe and excitement that I am compelled to express, without censure.
In my work I employ both traditional and contemporary techniques, using a wide range of mediums and tools, with admiration and respect for the elements and principles of art. A piece is finished when it awakes thoughts, feelings, questions, ideas and music. After nine years of studying music, I realized that musical theory can be applied to everything.
Thank you for your time....

Biography
Elin Rose Henriksdotter was born a November afternoon in Sweden, 1984.
Her childhood was mostly spent bouncing a ball against the brick wall in the backyard,
singing pop songs and avoiding social interaction.
After 9 years of musical studies, she went to university and fell in love with Pierre Bourdieu (1930-2002).
University lost its charm after a year, so Elin Rose moved to Iceland to explore her mother's heritage. Fifteen months later, she found herself
living in the attic of artist Mabel Fernandez in Stavanger, Norway, a woman who would play a very important part in Elin Rose's artistic
development. Upon their first meeting, Mrs Fernandez took a look at the drawings and paintings and then turned to Elin Rose with small
examining eyes. With no words, Mrs Fernandez magically introduced Elin Rose to a creative universe of raw and uncensored expression.
Holding this gift close to her heart, Elin Rose went to Canada, Sweden and finally settled down in London to devote her life
to painting, a circular synthesizer and cooking.
She is a part of the Idiosynchronism movement, www.Niccosta.com.
