Artist Statement
I work with many layers, building them up to create the illusion of depth. By utilizing both conventional and unconventional tools I allow paint to take on a life of it's own and allow unexpected patterns to emerge when working digitally. These controlled accidents are instinctively driven (rather than consciously decided) to ultimately create a dialogue between myself the artwork, and the viewer as well. I am always influenced by nature, the figure, and patterns. My watercolours generally take anywhere from 50 to 100 thin layers of paint to create. Similarly, my digitals take up to 40 or more layers till I reach a final piece.
I create mandalas, a traditional practice, and combine that with the less structured aspects of abstraction. Historically, mandalas have been created in various forms for thousands of years by cultures around the world (for example the Tibetan monks still make them out of sand). Personally, I define these circular paintings as windows into the soul where I work spontaneously from emotion. I never work from a preconceived notion of what the final appearance will or should be.
Although I work from my innermost feelings, thoughts, and experiences. I find it fascinating ...

Press release ArtExpo 2002
ArtExpo 02 > August 09-25th 2002
The history has shown that every progress in the way of communicating creates entirely a culture of the new communication. Just as the transition from radio to TV, the evolution from traditional mail to e-mail marks the beginning of a new form of communication.
The dispersion expressive contemporary conquest every field: it changes the artist's role, or it becomes better than the organizational components, and criticisms, of thought. It is not a war with the system on the contrary, it is a correct interpretation of the contemporary, evolution of a condition. Internet, the not-place for excellence, the fourth dimension of language, has gathered, in a little more than a year, over 500 artists coming from every part of the globe, all united by one wish: to communicate through art.
These are the bases of ArtExpo 2002, an artistic event that involves international artists coming from Japan, India, Poland, Canada, United States of America, Mexico, Brazil, Yugoslavia, Hungary, Holland, Belgium, Spain and Italy. Painting, sculpture, photo, digital art, and video installations: different possible roads to be followed, different artistic runs that parallelly they develop on the binomial art / comunication.
"The general vision of a system means awareness to be of it departs. To be part means to be able to interact with it of it, therefore to transform him/it."
