| Your Personal Biography |
Engelina Zandstra is a Dutch artist living in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
My art education is mainly autodidact.
By a lot of exercising and carefully looking I developed my own style.
I builded my knowledge and experience by following a great number of courses in Amsterdam in the field of painting,
etching, silk-screen painting and modelling.
I also took private and group lessons with a visual artist, and did participate in various workshops in the painting and drawing area.
During the last years I chiefly apply myself to painting, with acrylic paint on canvas.
Since long ago, I was fascinated by art, which I saw in museums. The new world that opens there for you when you see how others view the world.
Especially the use of color has always greatly intrigued me.
From there I have tried to find my own way to depict this world.
