Why Did You Become An Artist I enjoy the challenge of creating realistic storytelling images that reflect my up-bringing...Nature, farming, animals, etc.

Your Personal Biography Being raised on a small farm has provided plenty of inspiration for my artwork. From old tractors and farm equipment to barbed wire, old baskets, and wildflowers. As far as animals go, where else will you find such a mixed bag of critters than on a farm? From barn cats, cows and chickens, to bluebirds, hawks, and hummingbirds.
I've painted them all and still continue to study my subjects hoping to find a new and unique way of combining them with farm related scenery and backgrounds in an effort to tell the stories of life on the farm. Most of my works are small studies and portraits of common birds, butterflies and farm animals, occasionally I will apply my efforts to larger and more involved pieces that tell a bigger story.
I recently completed my 400th original, which just goes to show that even at the smallest of farms..( 100 acres in this case )...you can never run out of subjects or inspiration for an artist. I wish I could share all of these pieces with you however that would mean a much larger web site and time consuming image downloads. So instead I'll just keep painting and adding my latest works to the site for all to see. I invite all visitors to my site to contact me with comments, and suggestions. I will respond to as many as possible as quickly as possible and post a few from time to time. I hope you enjoy the rest of my gallery and thanks for visiting.
