| Your Personal Biography |
Born and raised in California. I found my calling at a very young age of 6 years old. We lived in Bellflower, California, when our next door neighbor saw my art potential. He showed me how to draw Walt Disney's 'Donald Duck'. That started my love for art!
We moved to San Diego, California and I continued on with my schooling. This is where I really decided that I was going to be an artist. The encouragement of my high school teachers and my family led me on to higher education and I majored in technical illustration and art. I went to work as a technical illustrator and found that this was not for me. I was continuing on with my fine art in my spare time. I was fortunate to get a job with the world famous San Diego Zoo as assistant designer. After the zoo I worked for Sea World of San Diego as a Senior Scenic Designer. I retired from this position. My wife and I realized California would be expensive to retire in, so we moved to New Mexico. New Mexico is an artist mecha. We are enjoying New Mexico and the wide open spaces. This allows me to continue to paint with the subject matter that I truly enjoy which is, Indian culture, wild west and all natures beauty. |
