Artist Statement:
José Garcia is a contemporary
abstract painter from Lima –
Peru (South America). Working
with acrylic paints and
traditional methods, he
creates textures, movement and
irregular shapes by using
strong colors. He gives his
images patterns and textures
that fully express his
artistic creativity.
The form, color, and textures
of my artwork send images of
emotions that can be
interpreted through the
simplest forms. I begin an
abstract painting quickly and
it becomes more detailed as
the composition starts to
shape itself.
