Artist Statement:
Fragile Industries Studios
offers unique artwork that
combines assemblage with
altered art in mixed media. I
specialize in altered books,
sculptural shrines, altars and
other devotional objects. I
call my work "participatory
art" because it involves its
audience in a variety of ways.
Doors open, pages turn,
revealing itself anew with
your participation.

I especially enjoy creating
customized works to your
specifications and themes,
including your own photographs
and other ephemera. My
specialty is creating custom
artwork for weddings and other
celebrations, such as
birthdays, Mother's or
Father's Days, anniversaries,
Bar or Bat Mitzvas, or any
other event worthy of a
special remembrance or gift.

This is another participatory
aspect of the art, because it
is tailored to your theme,
colors, and style, and may
include personal objects or
photos of your own. My
clients are delighted with
their personalized altered
books and shrines. They may
commemorate a special
occasion, or memorialize
aspirations, a departed loved
one, or celebrate any icon of
special meaning to you. ...
