Artist Statement:
What can I say, I am in love with expression. I find it deeply satisfying when a human being finds a way to devote his/herself to a form of expression. I don't know that it matters what the form is, or even what is expressed, it is how it is expressed that matters to me....

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
My grandfather was a metal sculptor, and a painter. Early on in my life he began to teach me the tools of the trade. I think something in his graceful manner and his love of life and the arts really resonated with me. I have always known that I was an artist. |

| Your Personal Biography |
I come from a family of artists and musicians. I remember being five and drawing a really thick black crayon outline around a piece I was working on and getting this amazing feeling. I knew I was an artist then, I proved it to my family shortly thereafter by making a life sized mural in crayon directly on my wall, no one was as thrilled as I was about this. I don't draw on my walls any more but I have spent most of my life since then making art.
I love to work in water colors and oils. I especially like to create surrealistic dreamscapes, though sometimes just painting outdoors from life is good. I make dolls a lot too because I like creating characters, and I enjoy the kind of folky feeling they have. |
