Artist Statement:
I am a freelance illustrator, and whether it for web, books, comics, magazines, or for commercial design, I try to convey a point or emotion through art and to capture a scene, real or implied. I like to take a realistic edge to some subjects considered to be more fantasy oriented. I enjoy working most in black and white, with emphasis on grays in certain mediums. Primarily I use graphite, watercolors, and Copic art markers.
By working with these mediums I have become skilled at focusing on details. Blending and shading in the b/w mediums is a favorite. My goal with each piece is to catch the mood that I want to convey, be it a realistic setting or more fictitious. Each illustration or drawing is a part of me, either through fantasy or feeling.
I'm more interested in always improving and doing the job right than just getting it done. My art and creativity attests to that. I always make sure the customer is satisfied before I finish the final version.

| Your Personal Biography |
My name is Randall Fulton I’m an artist/illustrator originally from Kingstree, SC.
Most of my art is done in black and white using graphic pencils. During the last few years I’ve moved into watercolors but pencils will always be my favorite medium.
I’ve had an interest in art since childhood. I graduated from Kingstree Sr High in 1986 where I learned figure drawing and sketching. Later I attended Williamsburg Technical College where I studied architectural drafting.
I had my first showing in 1994 at the Williamsburg County Art Gallery, which is operated by Mr. Abie Wilson. Mr. Wilson helped me perfect my current style and promoted me along with other artists threw local events sponsored by the Williamsburg County Chamber Of Commerce.
I moved to Florence in November of 2004 since then I’ve enjoyed the challenge of a wide range of art projects such as the “ARTS ALIVE” festival at Francis Marion University and “ARTSFEST 2006 JURIED ART COMPETITION” Sponsored by the Florence Regional Arts Alliance where I won the “Art Fest 2006 Purchase Award”. |
